Closing Event for the Vienna Climate Biennale
The 2nd Vienna Climate Biennale comes full circle: it all began with the Danube as a civic space – and that is exactly where we are returning to now. We will gather one last time at the festival headquarters in the KunstHausWien to reflect further on what the Biennale has given us – and to take new inspiration with us.
And then? It’s time to celebrate!
In the courtyard, DJ sets and the Café Friedlich bar take over: we’ll raise a toast to the finale together, dance in the sunshine and let the evening flow relaxed into the night.

Sunset Closing: One last picnic on the beach
Everything comes to an end, including the Vienna Climate Biennale. On the final day, we invite all Viennese residents once again to use Kaorle at Karlsplatz 2026 as a consumption-free meeting place: with a final yoga session (by prior registration), a craft table for families, a revival of the 1982 Polaroid Challenge, and a communal Sunday picnic in the sand – in front of the artistic installations by Pia Sirén, Zheng Mahler and Margot Pilz.
