With this exhibition, Ádám Ulbert presents the first part of a series of works and research in which he reinterprets the concept of "sheltering." His conceptual references are Jules Verne's novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and Max Ernst's collage "Stratified Rocks." While Verne leads us into the vibrant depths of Earth's history, Ernst, with a surrealist perspective, turns the Earth's interior outward and questions the human-centered view. Ulbert combines these ideas with ecological and alchemical concepts in newly produced sculptures, videos, and paintings.
