Opening Party Klima Biennale Wien

The evening begins with a special moment: the ceremonial presentation of the Declaration for the Danube as a Citizen – accompanied by striking visuals that bring the manifesto to life. After that, the night belongs to the dance floor.

In the evening’s central discussion, Katja Schechtner and Alex Putzer will speak about the rights of urban nature – both globally and, more specifically, right on our doorstep: How could the Danube become a citizen and resident of the City of Vienna? As a bearer of rights, it would symbolically be given a voice in matters of urban development – and thus a new significance in urban coexistence. Vincent Wagner (in collaboration with VIENNA DESIGN WEEK) translates this manifesto visually and projects it directly on site.

Afterwards, the evening flows into a communal celebration: BC-A (Barbara Alt) and Anna Ullrich take over the night with their DJ sets, inviting everyone to dance and celebrate. An energetic, inspiring kick-off to the Vienna Climate Biennale – everyone is welcome!
