Solutions & Strategies

Around eighty art students from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna have developed artistic works dealing with the climate crisis especially for the Klima Biennale Wien. They will be on display at the Badeschiff for one week. The cross-media artworks have been created since autumn 2025 as part of courses and include drawings, textile works, videos, as well as performances, installations and discursive formats: These include sculptures that symbolically transform the Badeschiff into a sinking Titanic, flags that fly in the wind calling for greater climate justice, and collaborative projects that make Vienna's urban nature audible by recording and editing the sounds and voices on the banks of the Danube Canal. Workshops, talks and scientific impulses open up sustainable, visionary perspectives and solutions to the climate crisis.
